Biography

Des Storer is currently a professor at Monash University , in the Institute for the Study of Global Movements. Prior to this he was for 18 years a senior executive in the Commonwealth Department of Immigration and Citizenship (1990-2008). Among earlier positions he worked for three years as Director of Research for the Victorian Ethnic Affairs Commission (1983-86), and three years as the Multicultural and Ethnic Affairs Commissioner of Western Australia (1988-1990).
